Background
Melissa is an experienced HR Generalist and has worked across a variety of businesses in different industries, from luxury cosmetics manufacturing to well-known FMCG and retail brands. She has experience in partnering department heads to strategically plan and deliver HR priorities and in supporting both on-site and remote managers with a range of employment issues.
Melissa has a degree in Psychology, and is CIPD Level 7 qualified. She has an interest in how the world of work interacts with personal wellbeing and, inspired by her experience managing long term employee absence, is also a qualified Counsellor. These skills compliment her offer as an HR Consultant; attentively listening to needs, thinking collaboratively, and supporting others to make the changes they want.
Melissa enjoys the challenge and variety of working as a HR Consultant, which allows her to utilise her previous in-house experience whilst drawing on her creativity and resourcefulness. Working for Sussex HR Hub since 2018 she feels part of a professional team of experts who cater to their individual client’s needs.
